フランス人デザイナー、ティエリーラスリーはオプティシャンを父に、アイウェアデザイナーを母に持ち、 極めて高い創作環境の中で育ちました。
彼は自身の名を冠したサングラスラインを2006年後半に展開し始めます。
フューチャリスティックヴィンテージをコンセプトに掲げ、"驚くべき創造的時代"と本人が位置づける ８０年代を主としたヴィンテージから得るインスピレーションを、
モダンで前衛的なタッチと融合させます。
イタリア、マツケリー社のアセテート生地を採用したフロントは特徴的なフラットデザイン。
その生産工程はサングラスというよりもまるで彫刻作品を作っているようだと言われています。
そして、ORGASMY, SLUTTY, SEXXXY …というようにすべての品番はデザイナーの姓名と同じように ”Y”で終わるよう名付けられています。
彼の生みの親としての愛情とユーモアが伝わるエピソードです。


French designer, Thierry Lasry, grew up in a highly creative environment with an optician as his father and an eyewear designer as his mother.
He started to develop a line of sunglasses featuring his own name in late 2006.
“Futuristic Vintage” as the brand concept,he has fused a modern, avant-garde touch and the inspiration from the vintage models in the 80s that he regards as “incredibly creative period”.
The sunglasses are all flat-fronted made of acetate. They only use the material manufactured by an Italian company, Mazzuchelli.
Their manufacturing process is more like creating sculptures than regular sunglasses making.
